Deweese is a village in Clay County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 43 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Hastings, Nebraska Micropolitan Statistical Area. Deweese was platted in 1885 when the Burlington and Missouri River Railroad was extended to that point. It was named for James W. Deweese, a railroad attorney.
