You may need a timed entry permit depending on when they cut off for the season. You need to order that online ahead of time. Check out their official website. There are certain times when you don't need a timed passed such as after 2 pm. Double check the hours. If you don' t have an annual natl park pass or a military park pass, you'll need to pay the park entry fee as well. You can do that at the entry station in the park.

NO! Once you're in, you're in. If you then go through the park and into Estes Park, then getting back to Grand Lake without a time entry permit, you need to wait until after 2PM to go …

NO! Once you're in, you're in. If you then go through the park and into Estes Park, then getting back to Grand Lake without a time entry permit, you need to wait until after 2PM to go back to the west side of the park.

I would check the website or call. We went during the off-season when there were no restrictions in place. We drove our rental car through the park
