I'd ask the tourist info center in Corona have what they think. We were 3 60ish tourists who normally walk a lot and we were tired. I'd take a half day tour to do it again. My 80 plus friend took a private tour with a large bus and managed well but was tired. A private tour might suit you best.

PS We loved the big muddy as has everyone else I know who has been! I'm sure the visitors center can help suggest a way to minimize walking. Even from a car you see a lot but without a guide you don't get to many I the places that are on private land. We hope to go again soon. The area is a treasure.
