Fifty years after "Jaws" was released in the theaters, the power of sharks in our imagination remains undimmed.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary, the Martha’s Vineyard Museum created an exhibit entitled “Jaws at 50 – A Deeper Dive.” “Our goal from the beginning was to make sure that it was told in a way that showed people that without the island and the people of the island, Jaws wouldn’t certainly be what it is,” said museum curator Anna Barber.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Steven Spielberg's seminal monster thriller, and Universal is pulling out all the stops for its golden year. This includes a special primetime broadcast of Jaws on NBC with an introduction from Spielberg himself.
