The Edmonton Oilers kicked off their five-game road trip with a decisive win over the Maple Leafs on Saturday, and they were looking to keep the good times rolling in their rematch with the Montreal Canadiens.
MONTREAL -- Jakub Dobes made 27 saves for the Montreal Canadiens in a 4-1 win against the Edmonton Oilers at Bell Centre on Sunday. Dobes made five saves, including a point-blank opportunity by Zach Hyman, when Edmonton had a two-minute 5-on-3 power play after Montreal was called for two minor penalties at 6:04 of the first.
The Montreal goaltender is still seeking his first shutout this season, but he once again came close Sunday night at the Bell Centre.
Even with a new goalie, the Oilers still look like an aging, top-heavy team that has played a ton of hockey the past two seasons.
