Rescue efforts are underway in Uttarkashi’s Dharali region after a sudden cloudburst triggered flash floods, stranding several residents and tourists. Teams from the Army, ITBP, and disaster response forces have been pressed into action,

Five deaths are confirmed, and 59 people are missing. 274 tourists were rescued. Special forces, medical teams, and equipment are deployed, with focus on restoring communication and clearing debris.

The disaster, triggered by a cloudburst, trapped dozens under debris, and caused landslides that blocked key roads leading to Dharali.
