A year ago, the Detroit Lions were locking up a playoff berth against the Packers. Now, they're behind in the race, thanks to a reversal of fortune.

The Detroit Lions, led by quarterback Jared Goff, face the Green Bay Packers, led by quarterback Jordan Love, on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025 (9/7/25) at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan.

The Packers started hot and kept the Lions at arm’s length the rest of the game. Detroit never led. The Packers made numerous plays on each side of the ball, just like they did in the season opener.

According to the Detroit Free Press, "The Lions are preparing to send renewal invoices to season ticket holders in early December and plan to keep prices flat for the 2026 season in anticipation of playing eight regular-season home games with one trip overseas."

The Lions have the most wins, and the most losses, of any NFL team playing on Thanksgiving. They hold a 38-45-2 record, according to ESPN. They beat the Chicago Bears 23-20 on Turkey Day last year, marking the first time in eight years Detroit has won on the holiday.
