The zebra, named Ed, was safely recaptured in a pasture in Rutherford County. He was airlifted in a net and flown by helicopter to a trailer so that he could be returned to his owner, AP reported.
Ed the Zebra has finally been captured after escaping from a ranch last week. The pet zebra belongs to Taylor and Laura Ford of Tennessee. They tell Inside Edition that 4-year-old Ed skedaddled the day after they got him.

Ed the zebra is home safe after a dramatic and highly publicized adventure through Middle Tennessee that captivated drivers and residents for more than a week.
An escaped pet zebra that had been on the lam in Tennessee was captured Sunday after gamboling in the forest for more than a week.
“Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office is happy to report Tango 82 aviation crews located Zebra Ed and returned him to his owner Sunday,” authorities said in a statement posted to Facebook Sunday. Accompanying the statement was a video of Ed spinning around as he was carried by helicopter to a waiting trainer.
