An old new idea returns with El Paso County sheriff's deputies setting up street checkpoints to catch unlicensed, uninsured drivers.

The cause of the Meridian fire which sparked Thursday has been ruled as accidental, according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. The fast-moving fire is 80% contained as of 9:45 a.m. Friday, per an update from the Sheriff's Office.
