The storm is forecast to weaken soon before undergoing a period of restrengthening and potentially becoming a hurricane on Monday.

Tropical Storm Henriette continues to track west across the East Pacific, but forecasters now expect the system to take a turn that would keep it further north of the Hawaiian Islands.

Tropical Storm Henriette continues west toward Hawaii and should cross into the Central Pacific basin late tonight or early Friday morning. Henriette is forecasted to reach hurricane strength as it heads north of the islands.
