The Jets had their first round of second interviews regarding their vacant head coach and general manager positions. Those took place on Tuesday with Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn and Washington Commanders assistant general manager Lance Newmark.

Let's not overreact to this, but Aaron Glenn left his Tuesday meeting with the New York Jets without a deal in hand to become their new head coach. And neither did Lance Newmark, the Washington Commanders executive interviewing to become their new general manager.

The Jets apparently have the goal of hiring Glenn on Tuesday and will "not let him leave the building" unless a deal is reached, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported. A deal has not been agreed upon yet, so it could take up a good chunk of the day on Tuesday before any news is dropped, if the situation ends up working out.
