The New York Yankees released veteran right-hander Marcus Stroman, a day after making a flurry of moves at baseball’s trade deadline.

Though they didn't trade for a starting pitcher at the deadline, the Yankees decided they'd seen enough of Marcus Stroman. As part of their flurry of roster moves to make room for their new trade acquisitions, they released the two-time All-Star in the second and final year of his contract.
