The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday’s lottery drawing has climbed to an estimated $344 million, with a cash option of $159.1 million. The drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. and televised on WABC-7 in New York City and Fox 29 in Philadelphia. NJ.com will publish the winning numbers after the drawing.

The current game reached some impressive jackpots. The record was set on Aug. 8, 2023, when a ticket worth $1.6 billion was sold in Florida. The jackpot topped $1 billion six other times, most recently in December, when a prize of $1.269 billion was won in California.

The most recent big Mega Millions winner was a lucky lottery ticket holder in Arizona, who struck gold on Jan. 18, winning a $113 million jackpot. On Tuesday, the lottery announced mega changes to the game that will more than double the price of a ticket to $5 per play.
