Blake Perkins hit a walk-off RBI single in the ninth inning and the Milwaukee Brewers avoided a three-game series sweep with a 3-2 win over the visiting Miami Marlins on Sunday.

Although the offense looked rough with RISP for most of the game, Milwaukee was able to turn it on late and avoid the sweep. Every Brewer starter other than Contreras, Ortiz, and Durbin had a hit today, and Vaughn and Chourio both went 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Milwaukee Brewers rookie Jacob Misiorowski already has won matchups with Paul Skenes and Clayton Kershaw and has pitched in the All-Star Game since reaching the major leagues six weeks ago.

The Brewers recalled Perkins from Triple-A Nashville on Friday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Perkins will hit the bench for the second day in a row after he had started in five of Milwaukee's six contests before that. With Sal Frelick returning from the injured list Saturday, Perkins looks set to fill more of a fourth-outfielder role moving forward for the Brewers.
