Marvel Rivals developer NetEase Games admits that a number of players have recently been hit with bans for cheating… even though they'd not been cheating at all. According to community manager 'James' in the game's official Discord server,

NetEase has issued a public apology following a controversial ban that mistakenly flagged Marvel Rivals players as cheaters. The issue seemingly affected those using compatibility player programs and is a classic example of the anti-cheat system's mistaken identity.

Following reports of false bans by some players, Marvel Rivals developer NetEase addresses the problem and issues a fix to those impacted.
