A child attacked by a mountain lion at Washington's Olympic National Park is being treated in Seattle. Rangers eliminated the threat after locating the cougar.

"I don't think that kid would survive if it wasn't for his dad jumping in," hiker Steve Murrow told KIRO 7. "He's a hero."

Following the attack, park rangers immediately began searching for the collared cougar, which was located and dispatched Monday morning, park officials said.
