Ireland scrum coach John Fogarty will be on Andy Farrell’s coaching team for the British and Irish Lions this summer – and the head coach knew how to pop the question. The coaching line-up for the tourists’ trip to Australia was fully unveiled on Wednesday and it has an Ireland-heavy feel.

British and Irish Lions coach Andy Farrell has appointed Simon Easterby, Andrew Goodman and John Fogarty, along with Richard Wigglesworth and John Dalziel, as his assistants for this year's Australia tour.

Andy Farrell needed no second invitation when offered the opportunity to lead The British & Irish Lions on their 2025 Tour of Australia.
