NFL owners approved a proposal to include player, coach and team statistics from the AAFC to the record book. Now Otto Graham is officially side-by-side with Tom Brady.

Here's another caveat to the league record books with AAFC records intact. The 1972 Miami Dolphins have company with the perfect season, as the 1948 Browns went 14-0-0 in the AAFC.

The Browns won the AAFC all four years from 1946-49 before moving up to the NFL. The changes move men like Paul Brown and Otto Graham up on some all-time lists.

The AAFC lasted from 1946 to 1949 when some of the teams were folded into the NFL. That's great news for the Browns, as they won all four AAFC championships before joining the NFL in 1950 and ...

That note, though, hasn't appeared since the 1980s. A move to include the AAFC's statistics picked up steam in 2019, when the NFL celebrated its 100th anniversary and dove deep into its history.

The AAFC existed from 1946-49 with Paul Brown's Cleveland team winning the title in each of those years. The Browns, San Francisco 49ers and original Baltimore Colts then joined the NFL in 1950.

The 49ers played in the All-America Football Conference before joining the NFL in 1950, and the NFL has just decided to count AAFC stats into the league's official records.
