Matas Buzelis showcases growth, highlight-reel finishes as Bulls hold off Pistons for a win in their season opener
Veteran center Nikola Vucevic had 28 points and 14 rebounds and second-year forward Matas Buzelis added 21 points as the Bulls held off the Pistons for a 115-111 win at the United Center on Wednesday evening.
Ayo Dosunmu scored 21 points, Josh Giddey had 18 and the Bulls beat the Hawks 128-123 on Monday night. Nikola Vucevic added 17 points and 17 rebounds as Chicago improved to 3-0, the franchise's best start in four years.
Despite trailing by 23 at one point, the Pistons managed to level the score with the Chicago Bulls late in the fourth quarter. However, the breakthrough shot never came and the Pistons dropped their opener 115-111 at the United Center in Chicago on Wednesday.
