The Rockets continued to retool their frontcourt by agreeing to a three-year, $21.5M contract with Hawks free agent Clint Capela, ESPN’s Shams Charania tweets.

Capela shot just 39.4% on shots in the paint outside the restricted area and 62.7% on shots at the rim, ranking in the bottom five in both for centers who attempted a minimum of two per game.

Capela had arguably the best season of his career during his first year with the Hawks. He averaged 15.2 points, an NBA-best 14.3 rebounds, and a career-high 2.0 blocks during the 2020-21 campaign.
