The franchise was hoping that the early season acquisition of Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams would spark the struggling offense. While Adams had a productive year with 85 catches for 1,062 yards and eight touchdowns (most of which came with the Jets), the team went just 5–12 and once again missed the playoffs.

Mike McCarthy and the Cowboys parted ways on Monday, and he is now searching for a new job. Perhaps he would fit in well in New York with Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams. However, who even knows if those two will still be with the Jets next year.

Green Bay lost in the Wild Card round to the Eagles in a game where nobody on the Packers had 50 or more receiving yards. Jets WR Davante Adams could be a name on the move yet again, as the team could be headed towards a rebuild that he likely wouldn’t want to be a part of at 33 years old.
