The practice of requiring passengers to remove their shoes at checkpoints has frequently drawn complaints due to perceived inconvenience.

TSA plans to roll the campaign out to its 435 airports across the U.S. including Jacksonville International (JAX) and Tampa International Airport (TPA), with more coming soon, the release said.
