Neil Thompson with the Ohio History Connection said Columbus was the state’s third city capital, and fourth location. When the state was established in 1803, its capital was Chillicothe.
In commemoration of Ohio's founding, the Ohio History Connection will be celebrate Ohio Statehood Day at the Ohio Statehouse.
