Pennsylvania’s Senate on Tuesday advanced a $47.6 billion state budget for 2025-26 that holds spending flat, and was poised to advance a two-year, $1.2 billion transportation plan opposed by Democrats to fund mass transit operations and repairs to rural roads.

The mass transit agency said it needs 10 days to implement the cuts to 3,000 bus stops in the region due to a budget shortfall.
