Grocery workers in several Colorado cities entered their 18th day of a strike Wednesday against Safeway and parent company Albertsons. The United Food and Commercial Workers Local 7 resumed negotiations, but after exchanging numerous proposals, the union said the company remained unwilling to offer an agreement that meets the needs of workers.

A union representing workers along the Northern California coast and the Bay Area secured a last minute deal with the supermarket chain.
