South Dakota Gov. Larry Rhoden is calling for the Black Hills to be used as a National Garden of American Heroes.

A portion of the University of South Dakota campus was recently added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The plot of land in South Dakota’s Black Hills, according to Rhoden, is privately owned by a family willing to donate it.
