Google is offering a big discount on its premium AI features to college students, and rolling out a few new ones, too.

Veo 3 was first announced for AI Ultra ($249.99 per month) subscribers, and Google brought it to the AI Pro ($19.99) tier with “ Veo 3 Fast ” in June. The 720p clips continue to be 8 seconds long.

However, it remains unclear whether the Veo 3 features will be free for Shorts creators. Currently, Veo 3 access requires a paid subscription to Google's AI Pro or AI Ultra plans.

According to the company, Veo 3 brings these three features to AI video generation in Vertex AI: Fluid, natural videos that synchronize video with audio and dialogue.
