The top-seeded Crane Mustangs (22-5) will play host to the No. 32 Alsea Wolverines (18-12) on Wednesday night in Round 1 of the Oregon 1A volleyball state championship playoffs. Coach Maddye Wester’s Mustangs won the High Desert League title with a 5-0 league record. They enter the state playoffs having won their past seven matches.

Four championship matchups will be played and other classifications will get started on Day 2 of the 2025 AHSAA Elite 8 Volleyball Championships at the Birmingham CrossPlex.

Dutchtown (20-10, 6-0) would maintain its momentum en route to a 3-0 win over Live Oak on Tuesday night at Live Oak High School. The win helped the Griffins finish undefeated in District 5-I play and take home a fourth straight district title. Dutchtown won by scores of 25-13, 25-11, 25-11.

The 15th-seeded West Salem Titans (12-13) will play host to the No. 18 Barlow Bruins (14-6) on Wednesday night in Round 1 of the Oregon 6A volleyball state championship playoffs. Coach Scott Coons’ Titans finished in third place in the Central Valley Conference with a 5-7 conference record. They lost their last three matches of the regular season.
