The latest edition of WWE SmackDown kicked off with Drew McIntyre quitting the company after having a heated promo battle with General Manager Nick Aldis and Jacob Fatu.

McIntyre initially won the WWE Championship by defeating Rhodes in a Three Stages of Hell match on the Jan. 9 episode of SmackDown. Fatu made his return after several months to brawl with both wrestlers in the final steel cage match, although McIntyre escaped the cage and captured the title.

WWE SmackDown saw the appearances of multiple celebrities this week. This included Jelly Roll and The Bella Twins, who became a part of the action inside the ring. At the same time, there were other renowned names who sat in attendance to watch the show with the WWE fans.
