Chance McMillian (strained oblique) has been ruled out for his fourth game in a row, according to a Tech release. The Red Raiders were able to win their first two March Madness games without him and will have to do so again against the Razorbacks.

McMillian isn’t the only player from Northern California who will be suiting up for the Red Raiders. Darrion Williams, Texas Tech’s second-leading scorer, played at Capital Christian in Sacramento for two seasons before transferring to Las Vegas powerhouse Bishop Gorman for his junior and senior seasons.

Texas Tech coach Grant McCasland fully expected top outside shooter Chance McMillian to be available for the Red Raiders’ Sweet 16 game against Arkansas.
