KFOR has sued state Superintendent Ryan Walters and his press secretary, Dan Isett, who the station says have barred its journalists from meetings.

Attorneys who represented KFOR in a First Amendment lawsuit against state Superintendent Ryan Walters are asking for over $376,000 in fees and costs.

Walters and Isett were sued in both their official and individual capacities. Isett no longer works for the state Department of Education. His last day at the agency was Feb. 10.

The lawsuit claims the State Superintendent and Dan Isett illegally block KFOR reporters from attending public meetings and news conferences involving the State Board of Education.
