The Lower Paxton Township Board of Supervisors voted to continue having its July 4 fireworks show at Koons Park despite two years of disruptions and arrests. The supervisors voted unanimously to keep the fireworks show at Koons Park in Linglestown versus moving it to George Park during the Tuesday evening town hall meeting.

Following an outbreak of violence at Koons Park in 2024, Lower Paxton Township considered moving this year's July 4th fireworks show to George Park.
