Country star Luke Bryan got hit in the face mid-performance at the North Dakota State Fair as fans defend the country singer and strongly criticized the incident.

Footage recorded by a fan shows country star Luke Bryan stagger, then resume singing after being hit by an object on stage.

While singing his hit song “Country Girl (Shake It for Me),” someone in the crowd threw a ball toward the stage, striking Bryan in the face mid song. Bryan was visibly thrown off by the incident, taking a minute as the crowd continued to sing the song for him.
