Jordan Love and Micah Parsons led Green Bay to its fifth win in the last six Thanksgiving meetings with Detroit.

Green Bay Packers edge-rusher Micah Parsons put himself in a company of one during Thursday's Thanksgiving Day game against the Detroit Lions.

Former first-round pick Lukas Van Ness has also benefited from the addition of Parsons when he's been on the field. However, Van Ness has been out with an injury, and with Devonte Wyatt out as well, they will need other pass rushers to step up.

The Thanksgiving nightcap will feature the return of Joe Burrow with the Cincinnati Bengals heading to Baltimore to face the Ravens in an AFC North showdown. The Bengals dealt with some Thanksgiving travel delays and didn't get into Baltimore until after midnight.

The Green Bay Packers held on to beat the Detroit Lions 31-24 in their Thanksgiving Day showdown. With the Packers up by seven with under two minutes to go, they made a fourth-down conversion to seal the game, thanks to a Jordan Love pass to Dontayvion Wicks.

In the 2024-25 NFL season, Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell took the phase "four-down territory" to a different level. The Lions converted 22 out of 33 fourth down attempts for first downs. That 66.7% rate on first down or bust plays helped the Lions secure the NFL's best record at 15-2.

It was the Packers’ stellar defense, led by All-Pro pass rusher Micah Parsons, who dominated the day, sacking Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy five times. Their stifling performance allowed head coach Matt LaFleur to take pressure off of quarterback Jordan Love, who was playing through a left shoulder injury.
