YouTube is telling Premium subscribers outside the US that they’ll be paying more for the service soon, social media users began reporting over the weekend. So far, the higher prices are being reported in regions that include the EU, the Middle East, and South America, according to Android Authority.

YouTube Premium users around the world woke up to bad news today. In over a dozen countries, the price of YouTube Premium individual and family plans increased significantly. This is only the most recent sweep of price increases from Google, as many countries saw price jumps only months ago, with the United States being one of them last summer.

The price hike differs per region, with some seeing changes between 30% to 50%. If you're impacted, it makes YouTube Premium more expensive than Spotify Premium and Apple Music. YouTube has raised its prices several times over the last three years.

YouTube Premium will soon become more expensive in more countries including Belgium, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.

YouTube Premium users in several European countries are facing significant subscription price increases starting in November. This change affects both individual and family plans, coinciding with a surge in advertisements for users of the free service.

With numerous recorded price increases, YouTube Premium is set for another price hike in a number of European regions.
