In the days since then, pass rusher Joey Bosa has joined Allen. He signed a one-year contract in Buffalo. At some point this week, whether before or after joining the Bills, Bosa spoke to Allen. The QB, in no surprise, had a perfect message for Bosa.

Bosa, who turns 30 in July, is no longer the same destructive player he was when he last visited Orchard Park five years ago. Since that day, the Chargers have played 73 games counting the postseason, and Bosa played in only 47 because of a rash of injuries.
