James Wade has brilliantly ‘put to bed’ suggestions he ‘sharted’ during his Players Championship 22 contest with Callan Rydz after a video of the incident went viral on social media.

James Wade came up with a hilarious excuse after seemingly letting out a huge fart during his victory over Callan Rydz at the Players Championship. Wade cruised to a 6-5 victory over his fellow Englishman but it was his behaviour away from the oche that had people talking.

Wade had walked over to a table following the win, with the footage showing the darts star slightly bending his knees, before fans on social media claimed they could hear the sound of a fart.

James Wade revealed that his shirt caused him discomfort during his Flanders Darts victory over Cameron Menzies. The 41-year-old defeated Menzies 6-4 in the first round of the tournament in Belgium. However, he was subsequently beaten by Dave Chisnall in the second round on Saturday. The Machine fell to a 6-2 defeat against the second seed.
