The Buffalo Sabres will be without Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen on a day-to-day basis as the goaltender is dealing with an undisclosed injury, Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff told Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News on Sunday.

After Jan. 1 last year, Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen was one of the most used goalies in the NHL, and he thrived. This season hasn’t worked out that way, though, for the 25-year-old. Paul Hamilton has more:
