Clarksville fire crews were rescuing people from flooded homes and streets on Sunday as the area continued to see flooding from a powerful winter storm that dropped around six inches of rain in 24 hours. The storm swept through the region on Saturday and overnight Sunday, bringing major flooding across Tennessee, Kentucky and Virginia.

It's been two long and agonizing days since Roger and Sharon Pearson had to evacuate their home in Clarksville.

Clarksville Fire Rescue made several rescues of people in flooding situations on Sunday. Rescues were made by CFR crews at the Woodstock subdivision off of Trenton Road, on Bunker Hill Road, and at the Concord Apartments on Concord Drive.
