Masataka Yoshida is swinging a hot bat for the Boston Red Sox this spring, but is probably going to start the season on the Injured List until he can play in the outfield.

Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora confirmed on Tuesday that Masataka Yoshida "most likely" will start the 2025 season on the injured list as he continues to recover from an October labral repair shoulder surgery.

After surgery on his right labrum this offseason, Masataka Yoshida will likely find himself on the shelf at the beginning of the year.
