The Sox were held to five hits and were hitless in 12 at-bats with runners in scoring position. They left 10 runners on base.
The Texas Rangers have a series lead and send possibly the best pitcher in baseball to the mound to close it out. He doesn’t allow a run and turns it over to a bullpen that bends but doesn’t break. The offense pieces together timely hits to take a late-game lead.
