Staggering sales drops, swastika-daubed EVs, companies culling fleet models, and fan-forum owners selling their cars—Elon Musk's alt-right antics are seriously impacting his electric car business.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk currently has way too much power and has effectively taken over the federal government, but he isn’t invincible. Tesla, the main source of his wealth, is so overvalued, he’s vulnerable if the stock tanks.

In January, sales of Tesla cars slumped across five European countries – the UK, France, Sweden, Norway and the Netherlands. Sales were down too in California – the US state with the largest car market. And according to at least one survey, Musk and his politics could be a significant part of the problem.
