German qualifier Tatjana Maria became the first woman to win a title at Queen’s since 1973 after beating eighth seed Amanda Anisimova 6-3, 6-4 at the Andy Murray Arena.

Tatjana Maria completed a dream week by defeating Amanda Anisimova 6-3, 6-4 in the final of the Queen's Club Championships, becoming the first champion of the tournament after more than 50 years since its last edition.

The 37-year-old Tatjana Maria became the oldest singles champion on the WTA Tour since another returning mother, Serena Williams, won in Auckland in 2020 (aged 38)
