The Boston Celtics staved off elimination at TD Garden on Wednesday night, ousting the New York Knicks by 25 points and winning a home contest for the first time in the second-round Eastern Conference series.

The Boston Celtics are still alive against the New York Knicks. The Celtics pulled away to win Game 5, 127-102, on Wednesday night without star forward Jayson Tatum. The Knicks still lead the series, 3-2, and will have another chance to move to the Eastern Conference finals in Friday's Game 6.

The Celtics overcame a disappointing Game 4 and a season-ending Jayson Tatum injury as they beat the New York Knicks, 127-102, in Boston Wednesday evening.
