Anthony Davis did all he could in last night’s play-in final, dropping an impressive 40 points on 16-29 shooting. However, the Dallas Mavericks could do little else as they succumbed to a 120-106 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies to end their season.

Although the Mavericks were eliminated from the playoffs, they went through a tumultuous final two months of the season. When asked to reflect on the season, Davis responded with transparency and honesty.

During the Mavericks' 120-106 blowout loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday in the play-in tournament, Davis went to the bench with 5:22 remaining while dealing with a sore calf. He finished the game with 40 points and nine rebounds, so he certainly did his part to keep the Mavericks going.
