Pentagon confirms that 2,000 California National Guard members are being withdrawn from the mission to protect federal buildings and personnel that followed ICE protests.

Half the 4,000 National Guard troops that were sent to L.A. in response to protests against immigration enforcement will be released from duty, the Pentagon announced Tuesday.

The National Guards were mobilized in Los Angeles to counter the growing protests that came after a series of immigration raids being conducted by immigration agents.
