New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel got knocked down attempting to break up a player fight during a joint practice with the Vikings on Thursday.

Vrabel feels so passionately about people illegally using disabled parking spaces that he says he'll wait around to confront them.

Typically, the fourth quarter of NFL preseason games is reserved for backups and roster longshots looking to make a case to make the team. So it’s unusual when key veterans are out there playing. That was the case for Dugger, who currently has the second-highest cap hit on the Patriots roster at $15.26 million, according to Over The Cap.

The fact that the Patriots are 2-0 in preseason games couldn’t mean less, but Mike Vrabel seems to have set the tone for his program in the coming years.

Safety Kyle Dugger and outside linebacker Anfernee Jennings, two long-time starters on the Patriots’ defense who signed contract extensions just last year, both played into the fourth quarter of Saturday’s 20-12 preseason win over the Vikings. Those snaps are usually saved for young roster hopefuls trying crack the 53-man roster or practice squad.
