3- star quarterback Kase Evans just announced that he would like to request his release from Iowa State after the departure of Matt Campbell to Happy Valley. Now however, he could reunite with coach Campbell, but this time in University Park.
With the transfer portal opening Jan. 2 and the 2026 NFL Draft looming, Penn State can expect plenty of roster turnover. Four players have already opted out of the Pinstripe Bowl and one, cornerback Elliot Washington II, has announced plans to enter the portal. More likely will come.
This is now the second quarterback added in Penn State’s 2026 cycle, joining four-star Nazareth (Pa.) signee Peyton Falzone. Falzone was on of just two players (DE Jackson Ford) to pledge to the Nittany Lions before the addition of head coach Matt Campbell.
