A strong earthquake in Russia triggered a tsunami advisory that has since been canceled for San Diego County coastal areas and the entire West Coast.

After a massive earthquake struck near Russia, tsunami alerts were prompted along the West Coast, including San Diego County.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii has lifted the tsunami advisory that was in place for San Diego and Orange counties but has left it in effect for other areas of the California coastline.
