After a surprise announcement that an agreement had been reached for 76 Place last week, Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker say a very detailed event on Wednesday will share more details to ensure 'our Sixers are staying home.

Chinatown opposition to the arena declared "the fight is far from over" in a statement about Mayor Cherelle L. Parker's endorsement.

“It’s a time for Chinatown as a community to really come out, see each other, celebrate this wonderful, precious community,” said Cinthya Hioe, communications manager at Asian Americans United, the non-profit that organized the event for the 29th year. Hioe said about 300 volunteers helped coordinate the event.
